At Glamourbox, we think and breathe beauty! Apart from experimenting on muds masks, exfoliants, and playing with the latest Ofra lip shade, we follow fashion and women with great style! We are thrilled to have on board our newest contributors from Team Style Cat, Yuki Tansengco and Sara Delos Reyes!

Yuki and Sara will be sharing with us the latest trends in fashion, styling tips for cosmopolitan Glambabes and of course their fun OOTDs (for style inspo!) on our Fashion Friday section every… you guessed it… Friday!! Get to know more about them– their style inspirations and their Glamourbox beauty go-to on this feature. – Lia, Glamourbox CEO

1. Who are your biggest style inspirations in both the local and global scene?

YUKI:

Globally, I love the classic style of Olivia Palermo and locally, I must say Apples Aberin – she exudes class and power which makes her the ultimate girl boss

SARA:

Globally, I find myself checking out what Elizabeth Olsen is up to. I find that she’s a less eccentric version of her twin sisters, but still has a style that’s similar to theirs, only more wearable. Locally, I don’t have a specific designer I religiously follow, but I’m huge on channeling “Sunday’s best” styles that many local RTW labels have plenty of. Think sleeveless polos buttoned all the way to the top, eyelet dresses, airy, waist-high skirts.

2.  Favorite local and international designers, and why?

YUKI:

I’ve always been an RTW kind of girl, or finding unique pieces in garage sales or thrift shops. I like making generic pieces look “mine” by styling them differently but if I were to choose, I love the creations of Vania Romoff and Rosenthal Lee (who presented in NYFW – Pinoy Pride). Both these designers prove that a women can still be sexy without showing a lot of skin.

SARA:

Quite honestly, I’m not a trendy girl, especially when it comes to clothes and shoes. I like styles that last a lifetime; timeless and classic are my golden rules! But if there’s a style item I can never get enough of (and spend a pretty penny or two on), it’s bags and purses (wallets and wristlets included!) I’m a big fan Bally. Their leather has proven to be the most durable stuff in my closet. My secret but not so secret source of the loveliest locally designed and made stuff is Kultura. Their clutches are to die for! I love bragging about how it’s Filipino-made to anyone who asks.

3.  On a lazy day, what outfit would you put together?

YUKI:

white shirt, ripped jeans and pointed patent flats.

SARA:

On a lazy day, my feet’s comfort is my #1 priority! I take a break from my pointy flats and pumps, which means it’s sneaker city for me. I’m totally happy in a t-shirt or a loose tank top, cut offs and my white leather Keds. Maybe I’ll bring a lightweight parka if I’m anticipating a breezy evening.

4.  One makeup product you never leave home without.

YUKI:

I never leave my home without doing my eye brows! I love brow pencils from Eye of Horus and Pop Beauty!

SARA:

I’ve learned to go more bare over the years. I can live without eyeliner and even lipstick (tinted lip balms are my new BFF), but I will seriously freak out if I don’t have my on-the-go eyelash curler. It’s not exactly a make up product, but getting to refresh eyes and make them look wide awake all day long makes a world of difference!

5.  Top five favorite Glamourbox products.

YUKI:

Pop Beauty Eye Palette, Pop Beauty Face Magnet Primer, Eye of Horus Eye brow pencil, BYS Contour Palette, Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Americano

SARA:  Dolly Wink falsies! I like them for when I have day-to evening occasions at work, which is probably the only time I’ll wear falsies.

EcoTools complexion 5-brush set: Smaller-sized brushes don’t mean they don’t deliver color less effectively. Each brush has a different shape and the box they come in gives you little tips and tricks for each brush’s use. Even if they’re meant for on-the-go touch ups, they are amazing. My next purchase will be the regular sized brushes to use at home!

Eye of Horus Babylon Brown eyeliner: Black eyeliner for me is too bold against my skin (unless that’s the look I’m going for). I want my eyeliner to simply enhance what’s already there, and not look drawn on. This eyeliner is the only one that’s achieved that for me, not to mention that it never smudges. Highly recommended!
