Neutral Plum Smokey Eye

Models at various fashion shows have been spotted with this smokey eye look recently and we don’t wonder why! It’s a great twist to the usual black and gray smokey eye that has a splash of plum and a darker but more neutral gradient. What sets it apart from other smokey eye looks is that this can be worn from day to night unlike the others which can be too dramatic for day time. To turn the look more appropriate for evening, just add a little more dark shadow to the waterline, a cat wing with liquid eyeliner, and false eyelashes!

Berry and Nude Lips

These lip looks have been going on for a while now but we certainly think these trends won’t be fading anytime soon, and for good reason. One of Hollywood’s IT girls Kylie Jenner is most known for sporting these looks and we’re falling in love with it even more! Berry-colored lips suit most skin tones and are flattering for Filipina sun-kissed skin while nudes suit fairer tones. Nude lips are perfect for heavy eye makeup; makeup is all about balance and blending. Be daring and wear a berry lip during the day time and we assure you that you’ll be showered with compliments all day!

Messy Braids

Messy braids have remained a classic hairstyle time and time again. A messy braid, whether worn down or as an up-do, can tone down and soften an edgy look or make a simple outfit more romantic and out-going. Braids look good on everyone, no one can argue with that. How can you go wrong? From the basic three-rope braid, to French braids, to fishtail braids, experimentation is key to find what braid style suits your head and face shape best! Don’t even worry about how messy or neat it is because the texture of it being a little messy can add to your overall look!

Perfect Dewy Skin aka Minimal/Natural Make Up Look

Having great, healthy skin is a trend that will never go out of style; looking your best with minimal makeup is the easiest look to wear! The superstar of this look is your bare face which will save your daily prep routines some time! All you really need is to prep and take care of your skin (cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize) religiously, prime your skin, lightly press tinted or finishing powder on your face, use a little lip tint, lightly fill in your brows (emphasis on lightly!), and voila, you’re done! The whole concept of this makeup look is to enhance your features as naturally as possible without slathering on a whole lot of makeup. Simple yet elegant is the target!

Centre-Partings

With older trends making a comeback, specifically the punk era of the 90’s, centre-parted hair has made its way back to today’s trends. Parting hair in the middle with curled or pin-straight hair makes an overall look more mature and sophisticated. This hairstyle compliments long and oblong-shaped faces to soften the face’s edges. Pair this hairstyle with a jumpsuit or a flower sundress and you’re good to go. Instant Bohemian chic!

Negative Space Manicures

Graphic art-inspired nails are all the rage now and negative space manicures have been seen all over fashion spreads and runways recently. Basically, the negative space manicure is an incomplete manicure with only a part of the nail painted. Another way to describe it is “manicures that are chipped off in a neat way”. Pretty cool, right? The crescent moon, graphic art, inverted french tips and stripes; the list goes on! Negative space manicures are essentially the cutout dress of the nail art world!
