Previously a winner in the Makeup Artist category of Mega Fashion Crew and a Color Artist for Maybelline Philippines, Amanda shares with us her tried and tested beauty discoveries from her travels abroad

1. How do you define your personal style?

Very laid back. I like things that are soft, comfortable. I love the beach and travel and I feel like that translates into my everyday style.

2. What does your daily beauty regimen look like?

Right now I am in love with French drugstore brands. Every morning and evening, I use Avene Soapless Foaming Gel to cleanse my face. Then moisturize using either Avene Hydrance Optimal and Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre. To remove makeup, I use Balms Away by The Balm which is probably the best product I’ve used for removing waterproof makeup.

3. What’s your one beauty indulgence?

Pedicures! I try to get a gel-pedi ever 3 weeks.

4. Any beauty secret that you learned from your mom?

Get lots of sleep. Drink 8 glasses of water a day.

5. What is/are your must-have beauty product (s)?

Grandelash Eyelash Grower, the best eyelash and brow hair grower ever, Lucas Papaw Ointment to hydrate my lips, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin, Nars Blonde Venus LipstickEye of Horus Liquid Define Liner .

6. Best beauty discovery from abroad?

I just discovered Tony Moly Fugu Collagen Hydro-Gel Mask from when I was in Korea last holy week. It is amazing! I swear, after using it, my skin glows – it looked tight, smooth and hydrated.

7. What’s the weirdest or most unusual beauty trend that you tried out of curiousity?

Fish Spa! You stick your feet in a little pool and fish nibble on them. It was super ticklish but my feet did feel softer when I was done.

8. Where is your summer destination this year and what are you bringing to this trip?

I’m going to Bali for a bachelorette party in a couple of weeks. I’m planning to surf and hit all the beach clubs so I’ll be sure to take Heliocare sunblock for the body and Ocean Potion face sunblock. The beach and sun really dry the skin so I’ll be sure to take a very emollient moisturizer with me like Avene or La Mer. Also packing lots of bikinis and a summer hat.

9. Who is the makeup artist you look up to the most and why?

My favorite makeup artist is Mathu Andersen. He is the most original, talented, creative artist. He thinks out of the box. You can tell a lot of thought when into the work. And his technique is flawless. I am so inspired by him.

10. One word that best describes you?

Independent.
