Skin Goodness Moisturizing BB Cream in Nude

I have a morena skin tone, and have been reluctant to use BB creams as they usually leave a white ghostly film on my skin. This is the first thing I noticed with the Skin Goodness BB Cream – the nude variant blends well into my complexion and sits very lightly on my skin. It has a silky texture that leaves the skin feeling fresh and looking supple. I love the scent, too – it is reminiscent of a light perfume with a fresh scent.

Plus the fact that it’s packed with vitamins, nutrients and offers sun protection (SPF20), it is definitely nourishing and ideal for everyday use. A little product goes a long way, but be careful when squeezing the tube as the product tends to ooze out.

Pro tip: Use this as base before you apply your concealer and powder.

Ideal Oil Control Pressed Powder in Neutral

Pressed powder that contains SPF and controls shine? Definitely what every girl in a tropical country needs! While effectively removing shine, what I love most about this product is that it’s complexion-neutral since the powder is transparent. It comes in a slim, sleek case that would be easy to carry around as it won’t take up a lot of space in your bag. This Ideal Oil Control pressed powder from Avon can really help you achieve smooth and fresh-looking face all day long.

Pro tip: As a finishing powder, apply lightly over your concealer or foundation. As a touch-up powder, apply sparingly on shine-prone areas of the face throughout the day.

Perfect Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown

As a makeup artist, I have quite high standards for eye brow pencils as filling in the brows is one of our most important tasks. And I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of the Perfect Eyebrow Pencil.

The texture is good – matte and velvety, not chalky or too creamy. The color is also on the taupe side, not reddish, which is perfect in achieving a natural look as it is close to the Asians’ natural hair color.

The product itself is double-ended: one end houses the pencil while the other houses the spoolie brush. When applied using a light hand, the product easily glides on the skin creating a natural-looking brow. Although it does not have a long staying formula, it doesn’t wear off easily and you can just keep it in your bag and touch up when necessary.

Pro tip: If in case your application comes out a bit too harsh, the product can be blended out easily with the spoolie brush.

True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Purple Pop

The name ‘true color’ describes this product perfectly as the colors of the eyeshadow really pop out on the skin as you see it, and the colors look vibrant even with dry application. I love the pearl texture of the shadows as it adds dimension to the eye makeup, and prevents it from creasing.

I also like the shape of the sponge double-ended brush applicator, plus it picks up and blends out product excellently, helping you to apply the shadow well even in a jiffy.

Pro tip: Check out the helpful guide on the underside of the compact for easy instructions on how to apply the eyeshadow.

Ultra Color Lipstick in Hibiscus SPF 15

Without a doubt, the vibrant color of this lipstick really pops out when you apply it. I find the fruity scent pleasant and quite yummy. Coverage is quite sheer so you should apply layers liberally, but its ultra moisturized, glossy texture feels good on the lips. You don’t even need to put lip gloss on top as it gives the lips a nice shine already. I like how there’s a clear window on the cover, so you can easily see the shade of the lipstick without having to open it.

Pro tip: The color and coverage is buildable, apply several layers to really make your lips pop!
