Glamourbox finally meets one of the women behind Plana FORMA and Go Nuts Donuts, Tina Lagdameo! Find out how she mixes both industries while staying fit and beautiful.

1. When did you get involved in the fitness industry and how did you come up with Plana FORMA?

I’ve always loved movement. Ever since I was a kid i took ballet lessons, was into cheerdancing. But as I got older, got married and had kids, things changed, I was lazy! You’d have to drag me to the gym for a workout. Last 2007 my husband along with my daughter moved to NYC. My husband was going to take his MBA in Columbia University. It was there where my bestfriend and I took this class in New York called Physique 57. I was instantly hooked! Before I knew it, I had signed up for a month and was going as much as 5x a week. It then gave me the idea to bring the technique back home to the Philippines. My husband and I broached the idea to his brother and wife Iya, my sister  in law and partner got a team together. The rest is history. We’ve been in operation for about 2 ½ years now. Last year we opened our second branch in Quezon City.

2. How do you keep yourself fit? What’s workout session do you look forward to every week?

My line of work is a juxtapostion. On one end, I am the brand and business development director of Doughnut People Inc (people behind Go Nuts Donuts) where we eat, develop and taste donuts and other decadent treats constantly. The other end, there’s Plana FORMA! I always say everything in balance and moderation. When I know I’m going to have to taste lots of donuts, I double my work out for the day (back to back classes).

I also try and eat only seafood, vegtables and avoid carbs on the weekdays. Weekends, I indulge and eat sweets, carbs and occassionally meat.

When it comes to working out, I like to mix up my work out regimen. I try and take Plana FORMA at least 3x a week, Zumba 2x a week and a dance class at least 1x a week. Luckily all these classes are offered in Plana FORMA 🙂

3. What does your daily beauty regimen look like?

In the mornings I was my face with a facial cleanser, moisturize and apply sunblock. For make up: foundation and concealer, Shu Uemura cheek tint, K-Palette eye liner and mascara.

4. What’s your one beauty indulgence?

Hmmm that’s quite hard, I can’t choose one. I’d have to say: weekly mani-pedis and Keratin treatments every so often.

5. Any beauty secret that you learned from your mom?

Moisturize as much as you can and hydrate! I am diligent about drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. I take a huge thermos with me to work everyday. During workouts, I make sure I hydrate and drink.

6. What is/are your must-have beauty product(s)?

A good concealer like Lorac or Armani. Being a mother of two and a full time entreprenuer, I hardly get 8 hours of sleep. There’s nothing like a good concealer to hide all the dark circles underneath my eyes 🙁

7. Best beauty discovery from abroad?

My stash of Armani make up 🙂 Everytime I go abroad, I hoard for at least 6 months worth of foundation, concealer, loose powder.

I also recently discovered Clarisonic thanks to my friends! I love it!

8. If you were to raid someone’s closet, whose closet would it be and why?

For fashion, I would have to say Miranda Kerr, i love how she can make simple everyday looks seem so easily put together yet make a fashionable statement.

For work out clothes, I would love to raid not a closet but stores like Lululemon (abroad) and Aura Athletica (in High Street or Powerplant Mall)

9. One word that best describes you?

I would have to say multi-tasker!
