Spanish model and Glamourbox contributor, Fatima Rabago, talks about her beauty secrets and beauty must-haves.
When did you start modeling and how did you get into it?
My older sister sent my pictures to a contest on TV. I was one of the 10 finalists and then the owner of an agency in Barcelona spotted me and signed me up, I was 17 at that time.
What’s your secret to balancing being a successful model, up-and-coming make-up artist as well as a mom at the same time?
I guess it just comes naturally, when you like what to do you, you just do it. I love my job, I love doing makeup and of course I super love being a mom.
What does your daily beauty regimen look like?
Thanks to my genes, I don’t need a lot of maintenance to keep my skin looking great. I always clean and moisturize, try to drink as much water I can and I do not put on makeup unless is necessary. I also take supplements for the skin.
What’s your one beauty indulgence?
Manicure and pedicure, hand and foot spa!
Any beauty secret that your mom has passed on to you?
Exercise! My mom goes trekking with my dad, they can do 30 km a day easily. It’s just not good for the body but also for de-stressing and catching some fresh air. She is 65 years old but she has legs of a woman in her 20’s!
What’s your must-have beauty product?
Carmex lip balm, clarifying lotion and perfume. I can’t live without those 3 items. And fish oil capsules for the skin, it’s the best!
Best beauty discovery from abroad?
I did this print ad for an eyebrow salon in Thailand named Anastasia. It’s the best place to have the eyebrows done.
Which beauty trend do you find absolutely horrendous?
Thin brows, over-plucked brows
As a model exposed to the best and latest in fashion, whose closet would you love to raid and why?
I’m not really in to branded bags or clothes. But I would love to see Vogue Magazine’s closet!
One word that best describes you?
